HR Business Partner

An excellent opportunity for an experienced HR Business Partner to join this friendly and highly regarded Insurance organisation in a newly created HR function. Experience of being in a standalone HR generalist role and/or managing an outsourced HR arrangement would be an advantage as would exposure to the Lloyd’s insurance market. Previous responsibility for Talent & L&D management is essential. As this is a new role, there will be the opportunity to review and enhance talent management processes and procedures.


Oversee the performance review process, ensuring that all staff complete these in the agreed timeframes and provide guidance to managers on setting objectives with follow up ensuring that these are supported by appropriate training.

Investigate and propose appropriate learning activities, in line with individual personal development plans, as well as business and regulatory needs, ensuring that the company has an appropriate pipeline of training in place.

Ensuring that skills are appropriately mapped to roles and that these link into the recruitment processes, performance reviews and development plans.

Support the annual preparation of succession planning and monitoring of potential flight risks.

Together with D&I Group and the senior management team, support the successful delivery of the Company’s agreed cultural objectives

Maintain awareness of Lloyd’s initiatives, ensuring that the company’s high-performance culture is understood, appropriately measured and where necessary, “enhanced”.

Work with managers to advise and support them with their hiring requirements, including liaising with recruitment agencies, setting up of interviews, manage feedback to/from hiring managers.

Work closely with the outsourced HR team, providing information and support to enable them to perform HR services including employee onboarding/offboarding, salary and bonus reviews, benefit administration, payroll processing etc.

Support and facilitate a smooth new hire induction process, coordinating with cross-functional teams to deliver an exceptional on-boarding experience.

Provide HR advisory services to employees and managers in relation to policies and procedures. Together with the legal team and outsourced HR team, provide support with any employee-relations matters which may include Disciplinary, Performance Improvement or Grievance processes.

Provide HR related metrics and benchmarking and reports to the management team as may be required.

Develop and maintain company policies and procedures including the Staff Handbook, employee directory and organisation charts and building awareness and trust in these across all employees.

Perform other ad-hoc projects and tasks as required
