Trainee Underwriting Assistant – Lloyd’s £30,000-£35,000
For a graduate level candidate (or equivalent) looking to develop a career within the Lloyd’s insurance market this would be an excellent opportunity. Previous exposure to the insurance world is highly preferred, possibly through work experience or temping. A level maths and some coding experience (SQL, R, VBA) would be highly beneficial.
Duties/responsibilities:
Extracting client data from broker systems.
Analysing client data using database reporting and bespoke analytical tools to assist with pricing.
Contract data entry.
Liaise externally with the broking community.
Carry out day-to-day administration in support of the underwriters.
Frequent exposure monitoring and reporting.
Calculation of loss estimates from both real and theoretical events from current, past and future contracts written by the company.
Realistic Disaster Scenario reporting to the board.
Catastrophe modelling and data analysis to support reinsurance purchase.
Ad hoc project work as required.
