We are looking for a Contract Senior Buyer to be responsible for processing technology, operations and/or services contracts, and purchases as required by the organisation. The Buyer will be required to lead successful negotiations by establishing competitive bidding environments, elevating new and incumbent supplier relationships, as well as analysing specific supplier trends and spend. They will be required to adhere to procurement policies and best practices, and effectively partner with internal customers and support the Category leads. The Buyer is expected to liaise with both internal and external stakeholders. Spend under management - up to $30M

Initially for 6 months.

The Purchasing team use Oracle Financials to place purchase orders and receipt goods.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Develop and maintain positive relationships with internal customers and suppliers.

Promote central procurement policies and procedures, ensuring compliance across the organisation.

Ensuring purchase orders and telecoms orders are raised and receipted in a timely manner.

Ensuring timely renewal of all contracts.

Ensure the delivery of brought in goods and services at the lowest cost, to agreed targets Participate in the procurement process which will include; obtaining quotes, the development of specifications with internal customers, supplier evaluation and due diligence, supplier appraisal and supplier negotiations.

Prepare requisition and purchase orders through to placing an order.

Participate in the reconciliation process for hardware, software and other goods and services.

Process contract renewals as instructed.

Working closely with Accounts Payable, IT Managers and Finance Departments.

Create and update New Supplier/Employees within Oracle iProcurement as and when required.

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

Good attention to detail
Good numerical and analytical skills
Fulfil any additional / ad hoc duties as required to meet the needs of the business
Skilled in Microsoft applications software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook etc.)
Knowledge of Oracle iProcurement would be an advantage but not a pre-requisite
Understanding of Procure to Pay Process
